WHAT:

5K Run & Walk

 

WHEN:

Saturday, April 13th, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. (Rain or Shine)

 

WHERE:

Thatcher Hall, University of Central Oklahoma Campus, Edmond, OK

 

WHY:

The UCO Army ROTC Gold Bar 5K will raise funds to support the University of Central Oklahoma Army ROTC Broncho Battalion Student Organization.

 

 

A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. Offering a variety of programs and services, WWP is equipped to serve warriors with every type of injury – from the physical to the invisible wounds of war.

EVENT INFORMATION:

  • First 1,000 Registrants will get a T-shirt and Finisher’s Medal!

  • $30 Early registration, $35 Race Day registration

  • USATF Sanctioned Event

  • Photography provided by Crimson Clover Photo

  • Course has been certified as accurate by Course Measuring Services (CMS)

  • DG Productions will be producing the event

  • Chip timed

  • Estimate 1,000 runners 

PACKET PICK-UP:

Packets can be picked up on Friday, April 12th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Thatcher Hall, room 238 on the UCO campus or from 6:00 to 7:30 am on race day.  Runners who pick their packets up on Friday may get more goodies in their bags!

AWARDS:

  • Trophies for the top male & female finisher

     

  • Awards for the top 3 male/female finishers in 15 different age groups
