The UCO Center for Economic Education serves as an advocate of economic and financial literacy with Oklahoma teachers and students.  The Center is affiliated with the Council for Economic Education, a national network of centers and state councils that are recognized leaders in economic and financial education.   

We help students develop the real-life skills the need to succeed:  to be able to think and chose responsibly as consumers, savers, investors, citizens, members of the workforce, and effective participants in a global economy. 

We provide training and materials to help teachers incorporate economic concepts, free enterprise education, entrepreneurship and financial management skills in Oklahoma classrooms. 

Funding for Center programs is provided by grants and private donations.  If you’re interested in supporting economic and financial literacy in Oklahoma, contact Sue Lynn Sasser, Center Director.

The UCO Center for Economic Education is located in Thatcher Hall and proudly supports student learning through a variety of on-campus activities.

• Distribution of ABC's of Credit Card booklets to students [to order free classroom sets of this publication, click here].

• Distribution of backpacks containing Personal Financial Literacy information at Enrollment Central activities.  This project was completed in partnership with Citizen's Bank, Edmond.

• Display featuring International Economics information and materials during on-campus International Week activities.

• Host an annual high school economics competition on campus in partnership with the UCO Economics Club.
