Stated Proposal: The Faculty Senate proposes that full-time faculty and staff interested in securing membership to the UCO Wellness Center be given the opportunity to participate in a lottery selection. From the employees that self-identify, 40 faculty and 40 staff will be randomly selected for membership to UCO’s Wellness Center free of charge beginning fall, 2011. Funding for these memberships would potentially come from cash reserves (one-time use funds) and would not reduce Wellness Center funding or utilize student fees. At the completion of one year, participation rates will be examined and a determination made to continue, expand, or eliminate this process.
