Information Systems and Operations Management

The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) at the University of Central Oklahoma offers two majors leading to a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA). The two majors are:

The department also serves the MBA program by teaching courses in these two disciplines. The department focuses on the undergraduate program; it does not offer an area of concentration in the MBA program.

The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department offers courses to meet the growing demand for graduates with the ability to impact the performance of organizations through the proper analysis of operations and application of information. ISOM courses also provide graduates with a strong business background and quantitative analytical skills.

Department Spotlight

Professors Michelle Hepner and Degan Kettles escorted 7 MIS majors to the Dell campus in OKC. While there, they heard from one of Dell's Master Engineers and toured the new multi-million dollar data center that is used by Dell's support center to solve technical problems for companies such as IBM, Twitter, and Google.
